ICYMI: #EveryGlass WineDown 3/8-3/14 St. Patty’s Edition

Highlighting just how much we actually drink..

A few months ago Jeff sort of dared me to post every glass of wine that I drink, so I started posting #everyglass on Instagram and Vivino, and now, here. So here’s your WineDown for the second week of March! This was a light week on drinking wine. But I’ll make up for it this week..

IMG_0915 Steltzner Claret, Napa Valley California – Stelzner’s Claret has dark rustic notes of spicy berries, earth and black pepper. Dusty tannins are balanced by a smooth acidity.

Evolucio Furmit, Tokay, Hungary – Evolucio’s Furmint from Hungary has soft aromas of baked citrus fruits, honey and a hint of banana that lead to a smooth, full palate of caramel, honeysuckle and citrus. The finish is smooth with a clean and refreshing acidity. One of my favorite whites!

Cocktail of the week! Irish Mule

It’s St. Patrick’s Day, so even if you’re not Irish, you’ve got to pretend for a bit! Ginger beer with whiskey or bourbon is a fantastic cocktail. It’s so simple and refreshing! Use Irish whiskey for an Irish Mule, or bourbon for a Kentucky Mule. Or keep it classic with vodka and a copper mug for a Moscow Mule.

  • 6oz ginger beer such as Bundaberg or
  • 2oz Irish Whiskey
  • Fresh Lime Wedges

Pour the Irish Whiskey over ice and top with ginger beer. Serve with fresh lime.

What did you drink over the past week, something yummy I hope! What should I try next week?

Cheers!
